Defaced is a dark psychological thriller adult romance, containing sex and violence. In short, it is about a woman who is kidnapped by a man, and the way the dynamics of their relationship changes over time. This story definitely has a feel of Beauty and the Beast, which I love.

I liked the two main, somewhat damaged characters in this book/5(). Defaced is the first novel in the three-novel series regarding the love affair of Lilly and Monster/Merrick.

The storyline, to me, is a modern version of Beauty and the Beast. The novel starts off with Monster as a small prepubescent boy and his relationship with his father/5(). Defaced: full disclosure I bought this book but did not read it. I hate cliff hangers and only read them when/if the series is complete.
